QYX Pro Automated Steering System Tested in Russia: Field Stability and RTK Compatibility

QYX Pro Automated Steering System Tested in Russia: Field Stability and RTK Compatibility

Can an automated steering system deliver reliable performance under local farming conditions in Russia? To find out, SpatiX conducted two field tests of the QYX Pro Automated Steering System in Orenburg and Lipetsk, evaluating GNSS positioning stability and compatibility with a local RTK correction service.

The results demonstrated stable positioning performance in Orenburg and successful integration with a local Agroglobal base station in Lipetsk, highlighting QYX Pro's adaptability to different field setups.

Field Test 1: Stable GNSS Positioning in Orenburg

In Orenburg, the QYX Pro automated steering system was tested for positioning stability under field operating conditions.

After startup, the system achieved a Fixed RTK solution in 4 minutes and 49 seconds. It then continued operating in the field for approximately 20 minutes, maintaining Fixed status throughout the test.

Maintaining a Fixed solution is important for precision agriculture applications, where consistent positioning helps support accurate tractor guidance and repeatable field operations.

This test demonstrated QYX Pro's ability to establish and maintain a stable RTK Fixed solution during the observed field operation.

Field Test 2: Local RTK Compatibility in Lipetsk

In Lipetsk, the test focused on compatibility with an existing local RTK infrastructure.

QYX Pro was connected to a local Agroglobal base station. The connection was established quickly, and the automated steering system operated normally with the local RTK setup.

This test demonstrated that QYX Pro could work with the tested local RTK configuration, offering greater flexibility for agricultural users who already have access to a local correction service.

For farmers and agricultural equipment dealers, compatibility with local RTK infrastructure can be an important consideration when evaluating an automated steering solution for regional deployment.

What Do These Field Tests Mean for Russian Farmers?

The two tests examined different aspects of real-world performance:

  • Positioning stability: QYX Pro achieved RTK Fixed status in 4 minutes and 49 seconds and maintained it throughout the approximately 20-minute Orenburg test.

  • Local RTK compatibility: The system connected successfully to a local Agroglobal base station in Lipetsk and operated normally.

  • Practical deployment flexibility: The tests demonstrated positioning stability and compatibility with the specific RTK setup evaluated in each location.

Together, these results provide practical evidence of QYX Pro's performance in the tested Russian field environments. Actual performance may vary depending on satellite visibility, correction service availability, receiver configuration, and local operating conditions.
